wakefield – Wakefield Cultural Council (WCC) would like to hear from you. The purpose of the WCC is to support public programs that promote access, education, diversity, and excellence in the arts, humanities, and interpretive sciences in our community.

In an effort to receive more input from residents in the community the Wakefield Cultural Council now has:

•an email address culturalcouncil@wakefield.ma.us the public can contact us through, and

•for a limited time, a survey we are making available online and in print.

In order to help our local cultural council identify local priorities here in Wakefield we have created a simply survey to help guide us during the application review process. Most councils receive more requests than can be funded, and strong council priorities based on community input can help guide grant making decisions. Here’s where you can find the WCC survey:

Please drop off completed surveys at the Beebe Memorial Library reference desk or WCC’s mail slot at Town Hall or to any of the council members.

We are proud, here in Wakefield, to have such a diverse group of volunteers that form our local council which speaks directly to the diversity of artists residing in our town. The current Wakefield Cultural Council members are Caroline Lieber, Rob MacRobbie, Colleen Getty, Manmeet Desai, Sarah Guerin, and Andy Levine. We hope you will take time out to participate in the survey.
