WAKEFIELD - The dunk tank has been a hit at the Festival Italia over the past few years and this year should be no exception. The 2018 festival is 8/18 from 2:00pm-8:00pm and the dunk tank proceeds are going to benefit the WIDC and WSSC to help our amazing 4th of July celebrations continue for future generations.

Brian Fox (WIDC Vice Chairman) will be back in the tank again this year for the 3rd year in a row with a new costume but he needs your help to find other prominent 18+ year old Wakefieldians. They can be politicians, coaches, police, teachers, business owners, etc. or you can donate money to put a family member in the tank for a shift and give your friends and family a chance to soak them.

Confirmed dunk tankers so far include: Wakefield Town Councilor Julie Smith Galvin, Wakefield Town Councilor Tony Longo, Wakefield School Committee member Chris Callanan, Wakefield School Committee member Colleen Guida, MA State Rep Paul Brodeur, Anthony Guardia from the Wakefield/Stoneham Boys and Girls Club, Justin Jones from Prudential, Julian Cardoos from Rebirth, Nancy Sheehan from the Wakefield Beebe Library, and Rich Greif from the Wakefield Human Rights Commission.

Feel free to email Brian if you have any suggestions (and of course reach out to them yourself too) or if you want to be involved. A typical shift is about 20 minutes long and it is a lot of fun while raising money for two awesome groups. Brian Fox can be reached via email at: foxbrian1017@yahoo.com.
