The Wakefield Lodge of Elks #1276 is happy to announce that this year there were ninety scholarships, totaling $71,850 awarded to students from the Wakefield Lodge Jurisdiction. Among these awards the lodge had three students who were state finalists for the Elks National Foundation’s Most Valuable Student Scholarship.
An award ceremony was held at the lodge on May 24th to celebrate the scholarship recipients. Pictured here (left to right) are Emily Wright (Wilmington), William Stevens (Wakefield), Emma Blanchard (Peabody), Teodor Todorov (Wakefield), Isabella Kehoe (Wakefield) and Caroline Herzog (Wakefield). Additional recipients missing from the picture are Matthew Cook (Wakefield), Katherine Maloney (Wakefield), and Abigail Murphy (Wakefield). Also among these awards there were seventy-three students from the Wakefield Lodge Jurisdiction who received Massachusetts Elks Scholarship, Inc. Major Project scholarships. These awards totaled $56,350.
