WAKEFIELD - The Wakefield Housing Authority is looking to fill a vacancy of an unexpired five-year term through April 30, 2022 on its Board of Commissioners. This position is to be appointed jointly by the Town Council and the Board of Commissioners. The Board meets monthly on the fourth Wednesday of the month at 4:00 p.m. at the Lincoln School Conference Room.

The Wakefield Housing Authority is an agency operated with public funds from the Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD), the Commonwealth of Massachusetts Department of Housing and Community Development (DHCD), and rents paid by residents. The goal of the Wakefield Housing Authority is to provide sanitary housing to low income families, the elderly, and the disabled. The Wakefield Housing Authority helps to provide affordable housing and economic opportunity, and to encourage individuals to achieve maximum independence.
