STONEHAM, MA - The Stoneham Memorial Day Parade Committee is in the process of making plans for the Annual Memorial Day Parade and Ceremonies, which will be held on Monday, May 27, 2013 at 10 a.m.

The committee is extending an invitation to all that would like to join us in honoring our deceased veterans. Any club, group, organization or individual is welcome to participate in the parade, be part of the Memorial Day Ceremonies, and/or decoration of veteran’s graves.

Veterans are invited to join in the line of march at the Corner of Washington and Elm Streets. Uniforms are not required. Civilian clothes which respect the dignity of the occasion (dark slack, white dress shirt, and hat that identifies your branch of the service or veterans organization are appropriate.) Trans portation will be provided for those who wish to participate, but feel they are not capable of marching along. If you will need transportation, please contact the Parade committee in advance,so provision can be made.

The next committee meeting will be held on Wednesday, April 3, 2013, at 6:30 p.m. at the Town Hall. New members are welcome.

For further information please contact Chairman Maureen Buckley at 781-572-2068 (buck2689@aol.com) or Veterans Agent Jim Devlin at 781-279-2664
